CASUAL WARDROBE GUIDE

Fitted & Flattering Outfit

A fitted outfit can create a confident, polished look that highlights your shape while still feeling elevated and professional on camera.

When clothing fits well, it naturally photographs better and creates clean lines, structure and a more refined overall appearance without looking overly styled.

Choose pieces that feel comfortable and allow you to move with ease, rather than anything too tight or restrictive.

Bright Outfit

Wearing brighter colours can bring energy, warmth and personality into your photos while helping your brand feel vibrant and approachable.

Bold tones and lighter shades naturally draw attention on camera and can create a fresh, confident look that stands out beautifully in branding imagery.

To keep the outfit polished, choose colours that complement your skin tone and avoid overly busy patterns that may distract from you. Clean lines, balanced styling and thoughtful colour combinations help create a look that feels elevated, expressive and photo-ready.

Dark-Toned Outfit

Wearing darker tones creates a sleek, sophisticated look that feels grounded, confident and effortlessly polished on camera.

Deep shades like black, charcoal, navy, chocolate brown, or deep olive tend to photograph beautifully and can help create a more elevated, refined presence in your branding photos.

To keep the outfit visually interesting, incorporate subtle texture, layering, or tonal variation within the darker palette. Well-fitted pieces and clean styling help maintain a modern, intentional look while ensuring the focus stays on you.

Black & White Outfit

A black & white outfit creates a timeless, sophisticated look that always stands the test of time.

The contrast is clean, striking and effortlessly elevated, making it a great choice for personal branding photos that need to feel both modern and classic.

To keep the look balanced, mix textures and tones. Simple, well-fitted pieces photograph best and allow your personality and expression to remain the focus.

 Polo Shirt (long sleeve)

Polo shirts offer a timeless, polished look that photographs effortlessly—especially when made from a soft knit. To keep the style modern and elevated, opt for long-sleeve versions in solid, neutral tones and skip sporty logos or bold patterns. Worn on their own or layered under a blazer, knit polos strike the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making them a versatile choice for portraits that feel classic without trying too hard.

Polo Shirt (short sleeve)

Short-sleeve polos bring an easy sophistication that works beautifully on camera. Choose one in a soft, fine-knit fabric that drapes well and feels elevated, not sporty. Solid colors in muted or neutral tones photograph best, keeping the focus on you rather than the clothing. Whether paired with tailored trousers or dark denim, a short-sleeve polo offers that effortless blend of comfort and confidence—refined enough for a portrait, yet relaxed enough to feel natural.

Blazer + T-Shirt

The blazer-and-t-shirt combination offers a modern, effortless look that feels both confident and approachable.

It’s ideal for professionals who want to appear polished without coming across as overly corporate or formal.

A well-fitted blazer paired with a clean, elevated tee creates a relaxed yet refined style that photographs beautifully. Neutral tones, subtle textures or layered accessories can add personality while keeping the overall look timeless and professional.

Colourful Outfit

Wearing colour can instantly bring life, personality and emotion into your photos while helping your brand feel more memorable and expressive.

Whether you choose soft pastels, rich jewel tones or vibrant statement colours, the right shades can communicate confidence, creativity and approachability on camera.

To keep the look polished stick with colours that complement your skin tone and avoid overwhelming patterns or too many competing shades. Thoughtful colour combinations, clean silhouettes and balanced styling help create a look that feels modern and authentically you.

WARDROBE TIPS

  • avoid clothes with pattern, solid colours are best

  • avoid overly seasonal clothes - sweaters with pattern, heavy blazers etc.

  • avoid too many logos unless you really want it included

  • if you want to wear pattern, it's best not to mix patterns (for example avoid a blazer with a pattern + shirt with a pattern)

  • clothes should be well fitting, not too tight and not too loose; avoid loose sweaters

  • clothes should be ironed for the photoshoot

  • DO NOT leave the outfit preparation until the morning of your photoshoot, have the outfits (+ jewellery and accessories) prepared at least the night before; we’re most likely to forget things when we rush in the morning
