Change How One Woman Sees Herself, Change an Entire Community

I want to share a story that's been on my heart for months now.

When Ana (name changed) first came to me, she was feeling stuck in her career and wasn't entirely happy in her body. She showed up for her photoshoot anyway, because her friend suggested me. That choice to show up for herself was the first domino.

In the few years since, she stepped into her power at work, launching new initiatives that fit her strengths and values, made difficult but necessary changes within her team and lost most of the weight she'd wanted to.

When I photographed her this spring, I thought about how much positive change I've seen in her. It was like working with a completely new woman.

But here's the part that moves me most: the women around her noticed. Watching her change, they began making changes of their own.

As women, we exist in a tribe, not separately. When one woman changes how she sees herself, the ripple reaches her colleagues, her friends, and her whole community.
