Juliana

It was wonderful to work with Juliana Leamen, Weight Release Expert again!

See what Juliana had to say about her second brand photoshoot with us:

The first time I did a professional photoshoot for my business, I was so anxious.

The second time I did the photoshoot was very different! I was calmer, more comfortable in my own skin.

I am the strongest I’ve ever been, thanks to my yoga practice, including during my 20s and 30s and when I look in the mirror, I really love what I see. Now as a woman in my 40s, I’ve never felt more confident in my body.

It was such a wonderful experience and I truly admire your work. I love my photos so much, I am so grateful we met in Toronto that day. You are so talented Agnes! I look forward to many future projects! Highly recommended!

3 Benefits of Artistic Expression

Every single time, the stress accompanying the photoshoot goes away about 30 minutes into the experience and what remains are the countless benefits!

Here are 3 benefits of artistic expressions:

  1. It boosts your self-esteem

The ability to express yourself feels freeing and results in higher self-esteem

2. It alleviates fear and stress

It gets you out of your head and makes you focus on action.

3. It improves cognitive function

When we’re creative, we use parts of th brain that aren’t usually in action for everyday tasks.

Spring Favourites 2022

Spring is finally here!

Warmer temperatures, nature waking up to life, all of these lift my spirits. Check out some of the things I’ve been enjoying a lot this spring.

HIGH WAIST JEANS

I’ve been living in them, because they’re simply extremely comfortable.

I’ve heard some rumors about low rise jeans coming back, but I’m not really willing to switch anytime soon.

HUGO BOSS PERFUME

I’m a bit of a perfume lover and I think putting on nice perfume in the morning can really lift your mood.

This perfume is very delicate and perfect for spring and summer.

A DEEPER WELLNESS

This book simply blew my mind. It’s written by Dr. Monica Vermani, a Clinical Psychologist. I really wish I had it years ago, it helped me understand so much about myself. It’s the best book about mntal health I’ve red in years, written by a true expert.

MALIBU RISING

Synopsis: Four famous siblings throw an epic party to celebrate the end of the summer. But over the course of twenty-four hours, their lives will change forever.

Malibu Rising is a story about one unforgettable night in the life of a family: the night they each have to choose what they will keep from the people who made them... and what they will leave behind.

GANGUBAI

Synopsis: Young Ganga is tricked by her boyfriend with the promise of a film career and persuaded to leave the countryside for Mumbai. In Mumbai her dreams of a film career come crashing down and she is lured to the underworld.

FARM BOY CUCUMBER & MELON WATER

When temperatures start rising, I drink much more water. Flavoured waters can be a hit or miss, but this one is my absolute recent favourite!

Winter Favourites 2022

Over the years I’ve grown to love winter more, but we’re still not best friends.

I love the atmosphere of Christmas, dreamy snow, mulled wine, cozy sweaters. I also have a hard time with shorter days, less sunlight and being lazy and unmotivated. Pandemic winter has obviously been especially hard.

Here are some of my recent favourites which have helped me enjoy this winter much more!

RED COAT

A vibrant coat is something that can really lift your mood during dark winter days. I’ve been looking for a red coat for some time and finally found a beautiful one.

JEAN DRESS

People often think my wardrobe is quite big, but I actually invest in quality timeless pieces. This recycled jean dress is unbelievably comfortable and I know I will enjoy it for years.

BOOKS

Reading is certainly one of activities that helped me cling to my sanity over the past two years. I’m always grateful for books and there’s always more on my list.

“Sweetness of water” by Nathan Harris synopsis: In the waning days of the Civil War, brothers Prentiss and Landry—freed by the Emancipation Proclamation—seek refuge on the homestead of George Walker and his wife, Isabelle. The Walkers, wracked by the loss of their only son to the war, hire the brothers to work their farm, hoping through an unexpected friendship to stanch their grief. Prentiss and Landry, meanwhile, plan to save money for the journey north and a chance to reunite with their mother, who was sold away when they were boys.

“Nothing but the truth” by Marie Henein synopsis: An intimate and no-holds-barred memoir by Canada's top defence lawyer, Nothing But the Truth weaves Marie Henein's personal story with her strongly held views on society's most pressing issues, legal and otherwise.

MOVIE

“The Last Duel” synopsis: Jean de Carrouges is a respected knight known for his bravery and skill on the battlefield. Jacques Le Gris is a squire whose intelligence and eloquence makes him one of the most admired nobles in court. When Le Gris viciously assaults Carrouges' wife, she steps forward to accuse her attacker, an act of bravery and defiance that puts her life in jeopardy. The ensuing trial by combat, a grueling duel to the death, places the fate of all three in God's hands.

PHOTO OF THE SEASON

It’s always extremely hard to choose a favourite photo of the season, because I love them all. Capturing this moment with Baljit was true magic!

TV

It’s always lovely to relax with a good series. I’ve been spending my evenings with these two shows lately.

Younger: This show is funny, witty and the cast is amazing! Synopsis: Liza Miller, a 40-year-old recently divorced mother who, after finding it difficult to get a job at her age, attempts to pass herself off as a 26-year-old in order to get any job in her pre-mom career to support herself and her college age daughter.

Witcher: I’ve always been a fan of the Witcher because of my Polish roots. I’m enjoying the Netflix show quite a lot, however I wish there were more episodes in both seasons. Even though the show is about a monster hunter, it’s truly about love, friendship and politics.
