Healthy mindset is a topic that comes up often in our conversations with Christie. This time we were talking about the “Someday Mindset”. I love Christie’s thoughts on the subject:
“Oh, I’m going to buy ______ for myself when I’ve lost all of my weight.”
I’m all about creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but I do worry about the message many are sending themselves by putting off things they deem special, investment oriented, or feel good for a body or image ideal that is somewhere down the road.
What does that mean we’re communicating to our PRESENT self?
While having goals are good, it’s also JUST as important to love and appreciate yourself AS YOU ARE while you embark on your lifestyle journey. .
Just because your jeans size may not be your ideal, doesn’t mean you hold any less value.
You are beautiful.
You are valuable.
You are worthy of all the things you desire; now and in the future”
